Dina Meyer is an New York native who was brought up in Forest Hills Queens. She moved to Dix Hills Long Island just after she completed her senior high school. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her elder brother and Evan. Her first experience in the entertainment industry came in the form of modeling at the age of 9 to sixteen. She started her acting training at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, where she studied Sanford Meisner's techniques for acting, in conjunction with Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among other actors that received this education. The first time she was cast as an actress was in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, which required her to move from Los Angeles to Los Angeles. After that, she was the role of the main character in the film Johnny Mnemonic, in which she was able to do all her own stunts and established her as a sexy actress. Her agent was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to land a regular role on Friends.
