Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. She is best known for her part as Skyler White on The AMC television drama Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. The actress has also appeared as Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell attracted to acting during preparation for her first job before moving her family from New Mexico to Ohio. She attended theatre classes at Northwestern University and spent a semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was a part of Chicago's theatre for several years, before making a move to film and television. Anna made her debut in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. After a brief appearance as a Guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows as well as films, like Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 1990's and was later cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In 2000, she was cast in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. In 2008, she was cast as Skyler for the show Breaking Bad. Also, she starred in the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn is also a part of the scene in David Swimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She played the role in the podcast's four-part audio drama Numbered days, which was released in 2022. The relationship between Walter White and his wife Skyler tends to be the central theme of the plot that is told in Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and its eventual demise arguably reflecting the exact arc of Walter White's end of his life.
