Alison Doody
Alison Doody was born in Dublin in 1966, in the middle class family. The youngest of three siblings. In a convent she developed a love for artwork. Following a short period in the convent, she returned to National College of Fine Arts in Dublin. However, due to a lack of drive, she decided to take a rest and would give her ten months. In the meantime, as she was sitting in a cafe with her buddies and chatting with friends, she was approached by a photographer who was asking her if she'd want to do a modeling. Because she thought she could make some pocket money from it, she agreed. In no time, she began working professionally as models. She was able to explore the globe with her commercial modeling after signing contracts. One day, a casting director was impressed by her work and recommended she take up acting instead. At the age of 19, a casting director sent her to London which she landed an audition to be a part of A View to a Kill, the most recent James Bond film. Acting was a passion for her so she chose to work as an actor. In the wake of her first feature that she directed, she did a handful of TV productions both in London and Dublin But her most memorable success came when her name was chosen to play Aryan lover in Dr. Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).
